Maternity Photography | Digital Photography Your family's legacy begins with your maternity session. Your pregnancy is such a natural, meaningful special time of your life; it should be celebrated! To get the most out of your maternity session, here are a few things you should know: When should I schedule my maternity session? I like to schedule maternity sessions when you are between 32 - 36 weeks. What should I wear? Neutral colors work best. Loose maternity wear is comfortable, but does not always photograph well, so wear something that is tight. We want to show off that beautiful baby bump! However, please do not wear anything that will leave a mark such as anything elastic, i.e. wristbands, socks, hairbands, etc. I want your skin to look as smooth as possible. Show that Skin Semi-nude maternity photos are one of my favorites. I love showing off that belly bump au naturel. You will be photographed tastefully and in a beautiful way. If you are not comfortable with this type of style, no problem. I will only shoot in this style if you are completely comfortable. Can my husband and other children be included? Most definitely YES! I love including your immediate family as these portraits are your own and will make wonderful memories to cherish forever. Patti specializes in Maternity, Fresh 48 and Newborn custom photography. All right! Family life circumstances and holidays have put me way behind, but all is good now and I am finally beginning to catch up with posting my last few sessions. Baby Zena is up first. Was so excited to photograph this little peanut back in September 2018. Can't believe she is now four months old! Because of time constraints at the time she was born, I had to photograph her when she was only 3 days new! She didn't sleep much, surprisingly, but still got some great shots from her session. And, that hair! I have the Best Job Ever! If you are ready to book your maternity and/or newborn session with Patti at DreamWorld Photography, click here or call Patti directly at 941.405.3309. One event I always look forward to attending is the annual SOLVE Maternity Homes Gala. If you have been following me for awhile, you know that this charity is near and dear to my heart. I volunteer my photography services to photograph the newborns of the single moms SOLVE so wonderfully serves. "SOLVE Homes offers housing, mentorship, and community for pregnant women of all ages in need." They hold this fabulous Gala every February to raise funds for their housing and support services for at-risk pregnant women. Since 1976, they have been serving the needs of these women across the entire Gulf Coast of Florida. They are totally non-profit and have never had to have any type of outside funding help. They also hold smaller fundraising events throughout the year, but the Gala is their largest fundraising event of the year. Please consider attending this wonderful event. Held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Sarasota, the food is excellent, the ballroom beautiful and you get to dress up - (one of my favorite things to do.) If you have a group of ten people, consider hosting a table at no cost. This year the Gala will be held on Saturday, February 16 beginning at 6 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please call the SOLVE Homes office at 941.748.0094 or e-mail them at gala@solvehomes.org to request an invitation. Hurry! You must RSVP by February 5. Hope to see you there! Happy 2019! A new year; a new beginning for DreamWorld Photography. If you have been following me and read my last post, you will remember I took a hiatus because of one my granddaughters being diagnosed with cancer last June. Her chemo treatments have finished and she is well on her way to recovery. Thank the good Lord! Therefore, I am ready to get back into the swing of things with photographing beautiful mamas and their newborns. I am also in the process of adding something new to my photography business to cater to other newborn photographers, but could also be used by newborn moms for their own personal use. Look for that announcement later. Hopefully, it will be finalized in the first quarter of this year. So, right now I am in the process of catching up with posting my last session before I took the hiatus. Look for that posting next week. I wish everyone a healthy, prosperous and very Happy New Year! As this new year of 2019 begins, I just want to say how grateful I am for all the wonderful babies I had the privilege of photographing in 2018. The below images showcases my Top Nine on my Instagram.
I am truly blessed to have been able to photograph and capture these precious, fleeting moments of these babies in the first couple of weeks of their lives. My 2019 goals are to grow my business, increase my photography education (learning is always an ongoing process) and keep improving with every photo shoot I will have the privilege of photographing this year.
