Honoring Motherhood

As you have read here on the blog, one of the ways I give back to my community is by volunteering my photography services to photograph newborns for SOLVE Maternity Homes.  They are hosting a wonderful conference on "The Gift - Honoring Motherhood."  Please consider in attending to what sounds like it will be a fantastic day.  I mean, where else can you get a continental breakfast and a plated lunch for just $10?

Motherhood serves as a gift for both mother and child. This beautiful relationship blessed by God is our inspiration to gather. Carol published her first book, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today? A Guide to Daily Happiness for Kids," in 2006 and authored seven more award winning books, which have sold more than two million copies. Carol travels the world sharing practical guidance for creating bucketfilling families, workplaces, schools and communities. SOLVE Maternity Homes is one of the non-profit organizations that benefit from the proceeds of her books.

Dr. Patricia S. Dixon is a licensed clinical psychologist and a professor for graduate students at the Florida School of Professional Psychology (FSPP) in Tampa, FL. She maintains a private practice in Palmetto, Florida with a focus on family, individual and group counseling with children, adolescents and adults. It is her relationship with God that led Patricia to use the unique gifts she was given to help others find hope during the midst of life’s storms.

Patricia is passionate about building stronger families and communities through engagement and serves proudly as a member of SOLVE Maternity Homes Board of Directors.
